Hello Rotaractors! Hope everyone is well! We will move be moving our typical Thursday meeting to next week and expected to be a social/service meeting for those that are available. We are hoping to confirm a venue to host a social baking event to provide baked goods to the Stratford Humane Society's fundraiser being held from February 24th to March 1st. Additional correspondence will be sent out providing confirmation of time and venue for baking Our "Serves you Right" Volleyball Tournament is coming up and we will need volunteers. We will need 3-4 people per shift and shifts will run from 8:30-10:30, 10:30-12:30,12:30-2:30 and 2:30 until 4:30. please let us know if you are interested and available. We were contacted by Angela Horbanuik from the Heartburn Day Fundraiser (Saturday Feb. 22nd) for volunteers from 9am-12pm, if you are interested please contact her at angela.horbanuik@heartandstroke.ca Our Last Rotaract Meeting... Last meeting we were able to provide updates from past projects and upcoming projects. Serves You Right Volleyball Tournament Update Nick Preikschas provided an update. Everything is in place to host the tournament and we will need volunteers and please remember to invite people to the tournament and share the social media postings. Rotaract Trivia Update The committee provided examples of the new reduced sized answer pack cards which will help to reduce our green footprint. The committee is looking for two additional members to help with providing questions for trivia and volunteering on Trivia Night. Jobsite Trivia Update No update from the committee. The committee is to arrange meeting to discuss a date for the trivia event, which is anticipated for April. If you are interested in helping with this event, please let us know. Open Club Conversation & Idea Sharing Optimist Bike Rodeo: Sarah Merkel provided information regarding an upcoming Optimist hosted event. The event is hosted on September 19th and could be used as a service meeting. More information will be provided at a later date and will be further discussed by members. Venue - There has been noted concerns about the amount of noise during meetings with minimized ability for hearing speaking and we are therefore exploring a new venue.
