Guest Speaker: Danny Graham, Chief Engagement Officer, Engage Nova Scotia

Topic: Quality of Life Initiative

Over a thirty-year period, Danny Graham has held senior positions in business, law, government and politics.  He co-founded and leads a personal development retreat at Windhorse Farm in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is the CEO of Engage Nova Scotia, an NGO inviting members of society to consider what success looks like for them, and to be more collaborative, inclusive and adaptive to change. He is perhaps best known as the former Leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and the MLA for Halifax Citadel.

Danny was a Chief Negotiator in Aboriginal rights negotiations for 10 years. He spearheaded the development of start-up social innovations, including the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program, Envision Halifax and Engage Nova Scotia. He has also worked to advance justice reforms that better reflect the needs of communities, victims and offenders in Africa, Europe, Asia and North America. He helped author We Choose Now: A Playbook for Nova Scotians – a ten-year plan for the economic future of the province.

Danny believes Nova Scotians are calling for a new future – one where they can be part of the solutions.  The Nova Scotia Quality of Life Initiative is a multi-year project involving a broad range of organizations from across the province, led by Engage Nova Scotia and is designed to help us create that future.
