In 2024, the Rotary Club of Mount Barker Community Grants supported eleven grassroots community organisations in achieving their objectives to make a difference locally.  Recipients of the grants, pictured at a July 2024 meeting, include:

  • Mount Barker Church of Christ: Installation of a commercial dishwasher in their kitchen.
  • Hahndorf Community Association: Restoration of a Heritage Barn in the town.
  • Acting Out Troupe: Providing mature individuals with the opportunity to learn new skills through acting.
  • Callington Agricultural and Horticultural Society: Provision of bins for the Callington Show.
  • Shoe Boxes of Love: Assistance with operating costs for new premises.
  • Circle of Friends: Contribution to a multicultural celebration event in Mount Barker.
  • Callington Recreation Park: Acquisition and installation of a display cabinet for artifacts and photos.
  • Oakbank Area School: A wellbeing project for students to construct and maintain birdhouses.
  • Pink it Up with Miss Annabelle: Purchase of a defibrillator for a restored Kombi van promoting cancer awareness.
  • Macclesfield Community Association: Contribution towards the cost of a community bus for the town's youth.
  • Mount Barker United Soccer Club: License to screen a movie at a fundraising event.
Thanks to our fundraising, particularly through our popular do-nut and catering vans, the Rotary Club of Mount Barker continues to back such organisations, alongside our principal youth and international projects.
Join us and contribute to Rotary's efforts.
