Earth Fest - Community Garden

For the Ecology Action Center's Earth Fest, we will be working with the Parker Street Food Bank to build their on site community garden. This event is also open to friends, family, and the community.  Gardening volunteers should dress for the weather and for working outdoors (e.g.: rubber boots and work gloves). 

 

There are also opportunities to volunteer at the other service projects within Parker Street for those who would like to volunteer, but work indoors. There are limited positions inside Parker Street helping with their Food Bank or Furniture Bank.

 

Afterwards, we will be hosting coffee and snacks in the Parker Street Boardroom for the volunteers while also providing a casual information session Rotary International's environmental impact. We are looking for a couple of Rotarians to give a 5-minute environmental "International Toast."
