Club Mtg: Ready, Willing & Able

Andrew Smith will speak on Ready, Willing & Able, a national inclusive hiring program formed in partnership with the Canadian Association for Community Living (CACL), the Canadian Spectrum Disorders Alliance (CASDA) and their member organizations. 

Ready, Willing & Able is funded by the government of Canada and is active in 20 communities across the country, including Halifax.  The program was developed in 2014 to increase labour market participation of people with Autism and/or an intellectual disability, the most underemployed of all the recognized disability groups.  To date, the program has helped business across Canada hire over 3,000 people and the program is the most successful of its type ever delivered in Canada.
