Hosted by the Halifax North-West club, Belgian Youth Exchange Student, Pauline Crosson, spoke to our club on November 9 about her Rotary Exchange Experience
Pauline is from a French speaking province in the south-west part of Belgium towards the French border.  Her town, Tournai, is much smaller in population than Halifax and is home to many historic churches and other buildings.  She described her country's famous foods such a waffles, chocolates and pralines.  Football is the most popular sport and the national team is Les Diables Rouges (Red Devils).  She is enjoying her visit to Canada and finds Halifax very "North American" as she expected - everything is on a large scale.  Her plans post high school are as yet not defined.
