Tim Chestnut from Subaru EPIC Dartmouth event spoke at our meeting about their big triathlon event planned for July 2, 2017.

Tim spoke about how word needs to be spread about this exciting event.

There's an EPIC Run, Epic Swim, and EPIC Bike, and an EPIC kids triathlon.
It is the largest kid charity run in the country and gives back to local communities.  The kids triathlon occurs between the swim and the end of the bike run.
It's a challenging but achievable event for everyone with the race starting and ending at Graham's Cove.

For kids, there are now over 400 kids from 5 to 15 taking part on this Canada Day Weekend event.  The cost for kids is just $25 and there's a prize for the school with the largest percent of students who take part.
Subaru is an excellent sponsor of the event but more support is needed.  100% of net proceeds from this event will go to the Terry Fox Foundation.

Next Canada Day is 150 and this event hopes to be the biggest EPIC event!
Runners love to run on big holidays!

How can we help?
  • Locally - get the word out to as many people in our community as possible, especially schools
  • Companies - Tim needs to make connections with companies who want to take part in this event
  • Volunteers - the event expects to require 600 volunteers!
