Bill vanGorder - Nordic Pole Walking

 
On July 19, 2016, Bill vanGorder spoke with the club about Nordic Pole Walking in NS.
 
Bill VanGorder is becoming known as a principal force behind the growth of Nordic Pole Walking in NS - the fastest growing outdoor fitness activity in NS.  He and his wife, Esther, are certified national Nordixx  Nordic Pole Walking instructors.  Their organization Nordic Walking NS, a division of MRC Associates Inc., is the major educator and distributor of Nordic Pole Walking poles and supplies in Atlantic Canada.
 
Bill is a former member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Halifax, a Board member of the Serving Seniors Alliance Cooperative, Board Member of the Theatre Arts Guild and the chair of the CARP NS Chapter.
 
He and his wife lead Nordic Pole Walking clinics throughout NS and the Maritimes on a mission to bring Nordic Pole Walking to the area.
