The mandate of the International committee is to review donation requests as it relates to international aid and development projects. Requests must be aligned with Rotary International goals and objectives. The committee will bring awareness to the club of Rotary International initiatives through information sharing and/or events coordinated by the committee.

Rotary Club in Georgetown, Guyana
Contributed funds to send a shipping container to Jamaica filled with medical
equipment; Rotarians helped to pack the container
Donated to the Kitchener Rotary club to assist with sending 19,000 books for a library in
Jamaica
2011: Canadian Landmine Foundation: $1,000 (matched by an anonymous donor)
Dictionary Project: 108 dictionaries sent to Guyana, distributed to local schools in Parika
and others used for the literacy centre $216

in Uganda

2013: Water Purification System at 2 schools in Parika, Guyana South America providing clean
drinking water for over 800 students. $16,000
Three Rotarians and their families visited Guyana in July to officially open the literacy
centre , visit the Parika schools, Alison Scott provided child abuse recognition and
reporting training for Parika community leaders.
