Small Change fund

My passion is in transforming organizations. I love building dynamic teams that develop exciting programs to create positive environmental change in Canada. With a strong interest in strengthening people’s connection to nature, I have worked in senior leadership roles to transform key provincial and national charities, including EcoSpark and Environmental Defence Canada. One of my greatest experiences has been working with an amazing team to create Small Change Fund, filling a gap in funding for grassroots projects.

I have broadened my perspective through working in the private sector in the environment and community affairs department of a large multi-national, and in the public sector with a local conservation authority. My approach to my personal and professional life has been influenced by my experiences living in West Africa and the Caribbean while working in environmental education and program development.

I’ve maintained a close connection to all of the organizations with which I have worked, serving as a board director and as a monthly donor to each, as well as with the Sustainability Network. My perspective on the needs of the sector has been influenced by my experience as an advisor to grant-making committees of the Laidlaw Foundation and the Metcalf Foundation.

I achieve balance and renewal from parenting three awe-inspiring kids with my husband at home in Kitchener, Ontario.
