Plan for the Get together:
- Arrive Sunday afternoon. Dinner at Sussex Inlet RSL at 6pm-there is a meat raffle as well. The location of the RSL is on the banks of the river so very pleasant watching the river and having a lovely meal-Chinese, Thai and Aussie meals that are very good. I will arrange a bus pickup from our house at 20 Lyons Road. If you want to walk it is about a 1.5 kilometre really easy walk. I will book at table at the RSL
- Monday at 10am we will do a guided pontoon cruise. This will give you a good overview of the area. The pontoon takes 12 people and the cost for the 2 hour cruise is $300 (for 12)
- Monday night we will have a catered meal at our house 20 Lyns Road (the Crazing Galz are just 4 doors up). The meal will be three courses-a grazing platter to begin followed by a roast pork dinner and then dessert. The cost will be around $20 a head. I will be able to confirm by next Tuesday the actual price
- Tuesday-explore the local area of Berrara, Cudmirrah and Swan Lake. Maybe a walk to the Mermaid Pools along the beach at Berrara. Other ideas-fishing off the wharf at Sussex in front of Sussex Palms or the Bridge on Chris Greek. We have some gear at our place. Plus we have 3 bikes in the garage. We might even convince Robert to do a boat ride on the river. A swim at the Haven is also an option.
- Tuesday night there are several options. The Bowling Club is a 10 minute walk from our house and Sussex Palms where most are staying. Again a meat Raffle but good food and a great view. There is also a new Thai restaurant in town and the food is really good. We can confirm closer to the date.
There are some great coffee shops and cafes in Sussex. In front for Sussex Palms there is a cafe right on the river so nice for a relaxing breakfast.
