Numbers were up again this year at the annual Pre-WWll Vintage Car and Bike Show. In the 8 hours of the show it is estimated 25,000 people came through the mall to see Pre-WWII machines, many of which were well over 100 years old.

The event raises much needed funds for the Sylvanvale Kids Club. The Kids Club is vital to the Sutherland Shire and surrounding communities. Sylvanvale Kids Club ensures that school aged children with disabilities are cared for after school, during school holidays and on weekends. The event would not be a success if it was not for support from the Sutherland Shire Council, the Sylvanvale Foundation and Cronulla Rotary members.
What a marvellous day we all enjoyed strolling amongst the 70 odd Vintage Classic Vehicles & 12 Vintage Motor Bikes.

Classic motor vehicles started arriving at the southern end of Cronulla Mall at 6.30 am. This year the event organiser decided to increase the vehicle entrance numbers to approximately 70, due to increased demand from people requesting to join our exclusive Pre-WWll Vintage Car and Bike Show, so it was decided to expand the exhibition into Perryman Square.

Well now, let me tell you that the adventure to expand into Perryman square was a HUGE hit.

There were many highlights to the day, we all enjoyed the volunteers from Cronulla Rotary and various other volunteers that were able to attend the event in period costumes. It really adds to the ambiance and fits in well with the Vintage theme that we are trying to create.

The widely various selection of very rare Classic motor Vehicles and Motor Bikes makes it a Special Day.

Numbers were up again this year, maybe our appearance on the 6.00 pm Channel 9  news on Friday evening and again on Sunday Morning helped our cause with increased spectator numbers. In the 8 hours of the show they estimate between 20,000 - 25,000 people would have drooled over these magnificent machines, many of which were well over 100 years old and probably in better condition than when they left the production line all those years ago.

We must thank Dirk & Trudy Regter from the Netherlands. Right now they are circumnavigating the Globe in their 1915 Model T Ford. We are so fortunate that this wonderful couple could join us for the day at Cronulla.

We would also like to thank our Sponsors who supported our show this year, for without your unselfish contribution towards the Sylvanvale Foundation it sure makes things a little easier. Thank you all again.

We cannot forget why we are doing this. Our event this year will raise much needed funds for the Sylvanvale Kids Club. Our Kids Club is vital to the Sutherland Shire and surrounding communities. Sylvanvale Kids Club ensures that school aged children with disabilities are cared for after school, during school holidays and on weekends.

The event would not be a success if it was not for support from the Sutherland Shire Council, the Sylvanvale Foundation, Cronulla Rotary members along with individual volunteers from other local Rotary Clubs in our area.

Without the Car clubs and Motor Bike clubs we would not have an event, thanks again to the Model A Ford Car Club, Model T Ford Car Club, Chrysler Restorers Club, Vintage and Veteran Car club, M.E.G Car Club from Cronulla R.S.L., Buick Car Club, early V/8 flat Head Ford Club,  Berrima District Historic Vehicle Club Inc, Sydney Bus Museum, N.S.W. Rail Museum, Museum of Fire (Fire Truck), Vintage Motor Cycle Club, John McDonald 's very impressive Indian Motor Bikes, and Tony Blain with his Vintage Harley- Davidson.

Apart from the various Clubs we also have a contingent of Private collectors that share the day with us to show off their pride and joy. One of the Stars from this year’s event was Colin Wade's 1933  original speed boat. This boat comes with a huge history, the original engine was supplied by Jack Lang (former Premier of N.S.W.) This boat raced in the 1st Bridge to Bridge Ski race in 1933 and of course Colin still tows this relic with his Model T Ford.
