Greg Russell from Rothesay-Kings Rotary Club visited our Club on Oct. 5, 2009, to provide a presentation regarding the upcoming Rotary International Convention in Montreal, June 20-23rd, 2010. Likely the closest a convention will ever get to us; the push is on to get as many from District #7810 to the conference as possible.
It is the 100th anniversary of Rotary in Canada. The last time it was in Canada was 1996 in Calgary. This is an excellent chance for some of us to get a much broader perspective of Rotary and what it does worldwide. Twenty thousand participants are expected.
The District has already secured some special pricing on Via Rail, West Jet, and an Optimum charter bus coach out of Sussex.
