The Rotary Club of Sussex received a New Brunswick Day Merit Award – Environment from the Town of Sussex for the Club’s efforts in the highway clean up on Aug. 5, 2013.
Accepting the award on Rotary’s behalf was fellow Rotarian and Tory Kings East MLA Bruce Northrup. Under Bruce’s guidance as Highway Clean Up Chairman, the Club twice a year cleans up 10 kilometres of the highway for the town. In two hours, the Club has 40 bags of garbage picked up and hauled away.
