District Governor Visit 2009

On Aug. 27, 2009, District Governor Gordon Dempsey visited our Club to meet with the executive and to deliver his annual message for his year as our Governor.

Gord said he would "like to enlist our help in my top three priorities this year. The first is to grow our membership by a net of 10% per Club. This is necessary if we are to continue to provide and increase our district support to the clubs. I want to suggest that growth in membership will also solve many of the challenges in our clubs. The second is to encourage an increase in donations to your charity, The Rotary Foundation, through EREY and club donations. The third is to take every opportunity to promote your Club and the work you do in your communities. In closing, I would like to thank everyone for giving me the honour of representing you as District Governor. Like each of you, I am looking forward to a rewarding year and making a difference in our community and in the world."
