Rotary Club of SJ welcomed public health nurses, Kelly Harrell and Michelle LeBlanc
who spoke to the club today about the Rotarians Reaching Out to Read program.
Kelly established a partnership with her local Rotary Club and began to coordinate this
program a little over two years ago in the St. Stephen and St. George area.
She is also a member of the Born to Read board.
Michelle is with the Healthy Families, Healthy Babies program here in Saint John
and has recently joined the Reaching Out to Read group as a coordinator in Saint John.
Both Michelle and Kelly feel that providing literacy tools and resources
to the families of Saint John is the key to resiliency and enhancing early and lifelong learning.
