"Welcome to all of you, today is our annual Christmas Luncheon and a special meeting of sharing with our families, friends and those individuals that are important in our lives. At this time of year we all tend to reflect on the past year and for me personally it has been a year of change, sadness as well as joy, new beginnings, new challenges and through it all I have drawn from the spirit of fellowship from within the rotary family to help get through some of the tougher times this year. As you get ready to celebrate the holidays, please remember that the most important thing is being together with your family and loved ones, because at the end of the day that is truly what matters most.
Since my term began, I am proud to say that we have continued to grow and build on the programs and foundation that has been built by many presidents before me. Today we will be inducting our 8th and 9th newest members for this rotary year - with the 10th and 11th in the early part of the New Year. We also have 5-6 new proposed names approved by the board for circulation for membership approval - so are family continues to grow and our club will be stronger going forward.
I hope that we will all enjoy our time together this afternoon, it is a pleasure to have the Rotary Boys Choir here to share in our celebration and bring the sounds of Christmas to us."
