Leaf Fest: Caponi Art Park

Join us for classic Fall family fun at Caponi Art Park’s Leaf Fest! This year we are looking forward to a variety of family favorites mixing art and nature in what is sure to be a memorable afternoon!
Activities include:

• Community Art Project — Join Caponi staff as we create elements for a Community At Project. Using natural materials collected in the park, paint and your creativity, we will create a collection of designer sticks to be displayed on property next year.
• Iron Pour — Igneous Metal Arts is back! This time they are pouring art of their own creations. Watch as they unleash their creative talents and energetically try new methodologies to create truly unique works of art. If you missed the Community Iron Pour this summer, this is your chance to check out the art of iron casting. 
• Pumpkin Hunt — Pumpkins are synonymous with Fall. Can you find them all? Small pumpkins will be hidden in the massive leaf pile throughout the day.
• Art Workshop — A sample of the types of workshops offered throughout the summer to camps, daycares and senior centers; create an art project, Throw and Sows, to bring home. 
• Pneumatic Apple Launcher — Who doesn’t love watching and launching objects into the air? Take your shot with the apple launcher and see how far you can shoot an apple.
• Scavenger Hunt — Get to know the Park by participating in the Scavenger Hunt. Read through descriptive clues that lead you on a trip to key areas around the 60 aces of trees and pathways. There may even be prizes if you successfully complete the list!
• Leaf Pile — Nothing says Fall like a giant leaf pile! Come jump, throw leaves in the air and relive your childhood or create new memories with your own children.
