On Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 12:45pm, at the Minnesota State Office Building, Room 10, the Minnesota House Transportation and Finance Committee will be conducting a hearing on House Bill No. HF0593, which, when passed, will eventually allow us to purchase special, Rotary International, Minnesota license plates for our cars and motorcycles. Please come to the hearing and support our efforts that have been years in the making. We will have Rotarians speaking in support of the legislation.
It is unclear if the bill will be laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Omnibus Bill or will head to the floor as a single bill. Minnesota State Representative (and Edina Noon Rotarian) Heather Edelson will be working to clarify the Bill's track early next week.
In addition to Heather, please thank the following legislators: Rep. Fischer; Rep. Lippert; Rep. Bierman (Northfield Rotarian); Rep. Zerwas; Rep.  Acomb (Minnetonka Rotarian); Rep. Lislegard; Rep. Kunesh-Podein; Rep. Elkins; Rep. Urdahl; Rep. Vogel (New Prague Rotarian); Sen. Franzen; Sen. Little; Sen. Tomassoni; and Sen. Newton.
Thank you for all you do for Rotary!
