Eagan residents, lock your doors and spend the evening outside with your neighbors. It is known that effective Crime Prevention begins with strong neighborhood and community relationships. National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for and participation in anti-crime efforts
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
National Night Out is celebrated in many different ways:
- Block parties
- Cookouts
- Potluck suppers
- Games for children
- Barbeque
- Ice cream socials
National Night Out is sponsored by the Eagan Police and Fire Departments and the Eagan Citizen’s Crime Prevention Association.
