Wow!  We did it!

What a fantastic day we had yesterday at the 2026 Diamond Creek Rotary Town Fair!

We had record numbers attend this year coupled with the perfect weather, fantastic crowd behaviour and, most importantly, an incredible spirit of cooperation from everyone involved.  And we did it all safely.

But days like this simply don’t happen without the people behind them.  I know many people had a hand in delivering our town fair, but I would particularly like to acknowledge Roger Knight for guiding the TF committee, Dennis Kerr for his tireless work getting all of the stallholders organised and Linda Gidlund for getting our Grand Parade and entertainment on-point!  Thank you both!

To every volunteer who contributed â€” both rotarian and non-rotarian, whether you were there for weeks beforehand, up early setting up, helping during the day, posting online, or staying behind to pack everything away — thank you. Your effort, enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in made it all happen!

It was wonderful to see so many people working together and looking out for each other. The crowd was amazing, and the cooperation between Rotarians, volunteers, stallholders, emergency services, council, performers and all our other participants was genuinely impressive.

The grounds were cleaned this morning, and are cleaner than when they were handed to us last week - a really good cleanup result delivered with our extended volunteer community!

Please feel proud of what you have helped deliver for our community!

Thank you for making the 2026 Diamond Creek Rotary Town Fair such a huge success.

More photos and other updates to come next week.  Please share any stories you have so we can get them in our bulletin!

...and a reminder:  There is NO MEETING this week.  Its time to rest and recover after a huge weekend!
