As I write this, we are now just 6 sleeps away from our 2026 Town Fair!
The long-term weather forecast is looking promising, with temperatures currently expected to be somewhere between 18 and 21 degrees—fingers crossed it stays that way!
The fairgrounds are also looking in good shape, with Council due to start mowing the grass and laying additional crushed rock around Coventry Oval on Monday. As usual, Council’s support has been fantastic, with only a few final issues still to resolve. The final approvals for the carnival are underway and they will start rolling in from Wednesday. Dennis is finalising stall locations, and Linda the entertainment and parade! The flyers are in the process of being delivered too..YAY!
Thank you to everyone who has been helping to make sure all the final details come together. We have our Town Fair Safety Briefing Night on Tuesday(booking link here), and I’m expecting approximately 50 or so people to attend.
Please make sure you have signed up to help out during the Fair—and please also ask family members and friends who may be willing to lend a hand. We are particularly looking for additional assistance with the Sunday morning clean-up!
In the meantime, our normal Rotary activities continue. Thank you to everyone who is keeping these important activities going while so much of our attention is focused on the Town Fair.

The Diamond Creek Rotary Town Fair is back for its 53rd year — a much-loved event that brings families, friends, and community groups together for a full day of fun, food, entertainment, and local pride.
Proudly presented by the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek, the fair welcomes over 30,000 visitors each year and offers free entry and activities for all ages. Whether you’re a long-time local or visiting for the first time, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
We meet every week, 6:30 pm for socialising and 7:00 pm for meeting start - 8:00 pm meeting closes. Contact us to attend a meeting - we will look our for you.
