Rotarians joined with Youth Leadership in River Falls planted four fruit trees as part of its Natural Resources Day.

The theme for the day was Respect, and the goal was to introduce the kids to various aspects of natural resources in River Falls and ways they can act to show respect and also introduce them service organizations that demonstrate leadership, such as Rotary.  Students planted trees as part of an “urban orchard” initiative. Working alongside youth, Rotarians in action included Steve Engelhart, Rick Heuertz, John Kremer, and Heather Logelin.

Rotary International President Ian Risely has challenged every Rotary club to make a difference by planting a tree for each of its members by Earth Day 2018. Our goal is to plant 56 trees by April 22, 2018!

The next tree planting event will be DATE/TIME. Sign up now.
