The three Rotary Clubs in Rochester work cooperatively several times a year. One of our favorite joint projects is tree planting. This is the 5th year working with the Rochester Parks and Recreation Department. The location is Quarry Hills. We will be planting around 300 whips. The park staff goes in and clears out the buckthorn. Rotarians and community volunteers plant whips of various types of trees to help stop the invasion of non-native plants.
