It is with deeply saddened that we are informing all the members and friends of the Rotary Club of Woodbridge along with District 7070 of the sudden demise of Rotarian Ken Maynard. He passed away overnight on his 87th birthday. It is indeed a sad day for the Rotary Club of Woodbridge to have lost a long serving member who was respected in our community and in particular in the Rotary Organization. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Woodbridge since 1962 soon after our club was chartered in 1955. Jamie has been carrying the torch of his father and been one of the main assets in the Rotary Club of Woodbridge over the years.
Who had the honor to knowing Ken, developed the greatest respect for him. Ken was known for its deep knowledge of the History of this Country but mostly the History of Vaughan. Members of our Club spent some memorable times with him and we will all truly miss him. His dedication and living the life of Service above Self was inspirational to all. Thanks you Ken for everything you have taught us, and thank you for all you have been giving to your community.
Our sincere condolences to Taflyn and his 3 sons, Peter, David and Jamie. Please have his family in your prayers to give them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
