District 7070 Environmental Award 2024-2025 Presentations

District Environmental Award 2024-2025 was presented by DG Virginia O’Reilly on the occasion
of the 70th anniversary celebration of the Woodbridge Rotary Club. The recipients were Rotarians Fabrizio
Burroni of Woodbridge Club and Eric Nejat of Richmond Hill Club. In her speech, DG emphasized
that the environment is an important area of service of Rotary. She complemented cooperation
between the above-mentioned clubs in the areas of environmental education and projects, resulting
in the sustainability of our environment.

This dinner celebration event was well attended by three PDGs, the Director of District Rotary Grants,
local dignitaries, Rotarian members of District Clubs and friends of Rotary.
As you are aware, Woodbridge, Richmond Hill and York clubs founded RMCC (Rotarians
Mitigating Climate Change) Grouped in 2022 and started cooperation between District Clubs in the
areas of the Environment. This award recognizes the excellent work by the Clubs, their Environment
Committees and members of RMCC.
I would like the take the opportunity to thank our Board of Directors, Environment Committee
members and general membership of the Club for their continuous support and assistance in the
activities of the Environment Committee. The cooperation of colleagues from RMCC in the
environmental projects is greatly appreciated.
