A Special Note from the Editor
Dear fellow Rotarians and friends of RMCC,
On February 28, 2026, I had the honour of attending one of the most meaningful environmental events
I have experienced in years. The “Stronger Together” Tour brought David Suzuki and Tara Cullis to
the Bayview Hill Community Centre right here in Richmond Hill. And it left a mark that will not
fade.
In this special edition, I want to share that evening with you — not as a formal report, but as a
story. A story about a quote that stopped the room. A story about why the work we do in RMCC
matters urgently. And a story about the privilege of standing beside a man who has spent his entire
life speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
The fish cannot vote. The forests cannot vote. The air cannot vote. But we can — and through RMCC,
we do. I hope this letter moves you as much as that evening moved me.
