The Rotary Club of Dubuque in conjunction with Five Flags Theater is sponsoring a very free, very spooky night of fun scary movies for kids and adults Saturday October 23 at Allison Henderson Park (University and Grandview).  This free event is a great way to help promote and get Rotary out in the public.  The Julien Dubuque Film Festival is showing four films starting at 6:00PM in the Park

  • Thank you for Staying
  • Cornbread
  • Overkill
  • at 10:00PM Nighmare on Elm Street will be shown for the grown-ups

We are looking for volunteers to hand out Rotary and Fright Night goodie bags to the first 200 kids and man the table and talk about Rotary.  You can come for an hour or come for three, but it promises to be a fun night for everyone.   The Dubuque Police Department will give helpful advise on safe trick or treating, a costume contest, free sodas and of course free movies.  Bring a blanket and stay after the table help.

Help is needed from 5:00PM until 9 or 10PM depending on the crowd size.  Please click on the register link below if you are interested in helping promote our club. In the comment section give us an idea how long and what times you can help so we can start a list.

We will be stuffing the gift bags immediately following the October 19 regular club meeting so if you can stick around for 15 to 20 minutes after the meeting we can get this task knocked out with many hands.

You have responded to questions that we need to promote Rotary in the public,  here is our and your chance and have some fun.
