George Dorman recently completed a career in radio and TV news that began during his military service in Korea, and included stops at KCRG-TV and Radio, finally retiring this year from KCCK. He'll share stories his career and talk about the challenges and joys of getting up at 3:30 in the morning.

Rob Davis oversees projects that quite literally shape the future of Cedar Rapids.

From the city's nationally recognized flood protection system to major infrastructure improvements across the community, Rob has been involved in efforts that will benefit residents and businesses for generations to come. These projects often happen behind the scenes, but they have a lasting impact on economic development, neighborhood vitality, public safety, and quality of life.

He'll share an update on Cedar Rapids' flood protection strategy and introduce us to the upcoming 8th Avenue Bridge project, an investment that will play an important role in the city's continued growth and connectivity.

 

Cedar Rapids West Rotary truly belives in Rotary's motto that says "Service Before Self." Club members spend the 4th Wednesday of each month working in service for an organization in the Cedar Rapids area.
