J'nae Peterman, who works at the intersection of housing, community partnerships, and problem solving as the Homeless Systems Manager for the Housing Fund for Linn County.

Through the Housing Fund, J'nae helps bring together public, private, and nonprofit partners to support housing projects that strengthen neighborhoods and expand opportunities for local families. Since its founding, the Housing Fund has invested millions of dollars in projects across Linn County and has played an important role in affordable housing development, disaster recovery, and homelessness initiatives. She'll introduce us to The Commons on 16th and share how this innovative project is taking shape.

Tech guy, Dennis Green will walk us through some of the updates and new features in ClubRunner. This is Rotary's program to help mange clubs and for us to communicate with other Rotary members. 

Rob Davis oversees projects that quite literally shape the future of Cedar Rapids.

From the city's nationally recognized flood protection system to major infrastructure improvements across the community, Rob has been involved in efforts that will benefit residents and businesses for generations to come. These projects often happen behind the scenes, but they have a lasting impact on economic development, neighborhood vitality, public safety, and quality of life.

He'll share an update on Cedar Rapids' flood protection strategy and introduce us to the upcoming 8th Avenue Bridge project, an investment that will play an important role in the city's continued growth and connectivity.

 

Cedar Rapids West Rotary truly belives in Rotary's motto that says "Service Before Self."
