Rotarian Dr. Phil Piazza, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools (Grades 7–12) for Stratford Public Schools, became the first person to sign the Stratford Rotary Club's new Rotary-branded signature board. The board, generously donated and presented to the club by Rotarian Dave Harden, will be signed by future guest speakers and visitors as a lasting keepsake of their time with the Stratford Rotary Club.During his "15 Minutes of Fame" presentation, Rotarian Dr. Phil Piazza introduced himself to fellow Rotarians by sharing his professional journey, personal interests, and passion for education. Now beginning his third year with Stratford Public Schools as Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools (Grades 7–12), Dr. Piazza spoke about the importance of personal growth, leadership, and teamwork, noting that he is fortunate to be part of both a great educational team and a great town.
As part of his presentation, Rotarian Dr. Phil Piazza shared one of his leadership storyboards, encouraging Rotarians to reflect on the qualities of effective leadership. He spoke about identifying your personal values, understanding why you choose to lead, and considering the positive impact you hope to make on others and your community.
