A district-managed grant is in the works for area 6, which includes Devon, Milford, West Haven, Orange, and Stratford. Each club will contribute to the matching grant. This will be for a meal-packing event that supports our District Governor, Stephanie Phillips' Food Initiative.

Current Stratford Rotary Events
December 16th is our Santas' Lunch at Riverview Bistro, our annual holiday party for 20 children from Stratford. This event will replace our regular meeting. Food and fun are guaranteed for all.

Lord’s Kitchen is scheduled for December 17th. Barbara Heimlich is coordinating Interact students from Bunnell and Stratford to assist. The event runs from 5 pm to 7 pm, with the kitchen open from 1 pm to 4 pm for meal preparation. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Barbara.

The Four Way Test Speech Contest needs a venue that can accommodate 60 to 70 people. We are considering February 2nd or 21st for the event. If you know of a suitable location, please reach out to Jeff Krause or me. Your help in securing a host site would be greatly appreciated.

New Paradigm Theatre is excited to offer tickets to its annual Holiday Show on December 20th at Stratford High School. The ticket link is below.
Over 8,000 people and 250+ vendors from all CT towns have enjoyed this annual town-wide event. Please join us to celebrate the many organizations, programs, and services the Town offers.
Stratford Rotary will be serving dinner at Lord’s Kitchen on Wednesday, December 17, at Christ Church. We’ll be joined by the Interact Clubs from both high schools, as well as members of New Paradigm, making this a wonderful team effort across generations.
Together, we expect to serve more than 100 residents that evening — a heartfelt reminder of what community looks like when we show up for one another.
In partnership with the Stratford School System’s Pupil Services Department, the Stratford Rotary Club is delighted to host Lunch with Santa on December 16 at Riverview Bistro.
Twenty special-needs students, along with their teachers, will enjoy a festive afternoon complete with chicken fingers, smiles, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves. Gifts, laughter, and plenty of holiday cheer are all on the menu.
It’s one of our favorite traditions — a simple way to share joy, build community, and remind these wonderful kids that the season shines a little brighter because of them.
Mayor David Chess joined the Stratford Rotary Club on December 1st and shared an inspiring look at Stratford’s future. He spoke warmly about building a vibrant and welcoming town where families and businesses can flourish. He also addressed key challenges, including budget pressures, infrastructure needs, and planning for housing, education, and public safety.
Throughout his remarks, he emphasized collaboration and thanked Rotary for its strong community service. In the question and answer session, he welcomed ideas and engaged openly with members. The meeting closed with a sense of optimism about what Stratford can achieve when everyone works together.
