Thank you, Dominic, for bringing last week's speaker, Pastor Dan Van Horne. He discussed the Youth Diversion Team, a volunteer organization that offers an alternative to the court system for youth who have been arrested. While involved with the Youth Diversion Team, youth are guided through a restorative justice process that helps set them on a path to a brighter and better future for themselves, their loved ones, and their community.
A Week in Review
Board Meeting Recap:
Five members were in attendance, but not enough to have a vote. The wreath program was discussed. The majority of the conversation focused on committee membership, leadership, and the definition of committees. Sherri has agreed to do an overview of the number of committees available to see if there is room to consolidate and make what we have more efficient.
The next board meeting is TBD due to the holidays coming up.
We have completed multiple school vists and have successfully delivered Dictionaries to 3rd graders and Thesauruses to 5th graders. Thank you to all the Rotarians who have visited the schools, talked about the Rotary Club, what we do in our community and worldwide, and the 4 Way Test. Events up next on the Rotary Stage
This year‘s turkey delivery is scheduled for November 22, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. All Rotary members should go to Sterling House by 10 AM to pick up the turkeys and groceries to be delivered. This is an annual event in which Rotary supplies 140 turkeys to Sterling House for delivery on that day. The time commitment is usually 60-90 minutes. If you need any further information, don't hesitate to get in touch with Joe.

Our 2025 Rotary Foundation Brunch will be an extraordinary gathering to celebrate last year‘s achievements by our clubs and our district related to the Rotary Foundation. Plus, we have the joy of bringing back Peace Fellow and Master Cellist, Diego Carneiro, to join us in the event.
Past Rotary International President and Immediate Past Chair of the Rotary Foundation, Mark Maloney, who achieved $2.025 billion in legacy giving during his tenure, will provide an inspirational keynote as we continue supporting Rotary growth in legacy giving.
