My start as District Governor has been a whirlwind—but in the best way.  I’m looking forward to visiting the Stratford Rotary Club on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 12:15 PM, Riverview Bistro Restaurant & Banquet Facility (946 Ferry Blvd, Stratford, CT  06614). 

I want to thank the Stratford Rotary for their support in the first of two President projects that I have chosen. A specific shout-out goes to everyone who attended and volunteered to help with the new paradigm's production of Hairspray. 

Thank you to Adrienne Lopez for speaking and sharing her experience of being the RYLA president.

 Our annual Fishing Trip on August 16th is a great event coordinated by Paul  Tavaras. It promises a day of fun and camaraderie. The trip will be from 8  a.m. to 2 p.m. All information is on our web page.

 Our Golf tournament, organized by Mike Suntag, is already being  assembled. We always need more raffle gifts and volunteers to make the  tournament successful. Anyone interested, please get in touch with Mike  Stugant for more information to have a great afternoon of fun and  camaraderie.

As you may recall, we funded a roof replacement two years ago at Bethlehem House on Jackson Avenue in Stratford. They are Stratford’s only transitional housing for homeless families, and we currently support nine families. As a member of their Advisory Board, Director Dina Hill is requesting donations of school supplies. I am asking if Rotary could send a plea to its members to purchase any school supplies, and I will pick them up at the meeting or their home if needed.

$20 per hour/ 20–40 hours per week
Mornings, evenings, weekends available
In need of the following care:
● Bathe in bed
● Dress / undress
● Bathroom assistance
● Transfer to power chair / bed –using ceiling lift
