Today we had our Rotary Shredding Event at the Baldwin Center. It was an absolutely beautiful day weather wise. We had a steady stream of residents bringing their old files for shredding, Stratford's Rotary Paper Shredding event offers a secure and efficient way to dispose of documents while preventing personal information from getting into the wrong hands. Items such as medical records, credit card statements, checks, and bills can pose a serious security threat if handled improperly. Rotary uses Meyers's professional "onsite service" to ensure that they are securely and effectively destroyed. You can even watch and see your documents destroyed.
Osi Rosenberg did a great job publicizing the event. Special thanks to Osi and Ramon Pons for arranging the event. Thank you to Catherine Proto, Sterling House, for volunteering to let us dispose of our cardboard trash. And a Very Special Thank You to the Interact youth who participated, and did quite a bit of the heavy lifting, giving some of us oldies a break. Last but not least, thank you to all the Rotarians who came and worked at the event. There are too many to mention here, but you know who you are. Approximate profit from the event is $2,000.00, which will be used for use within the community.
