Reminder - Lunch with Mayor John Tory

We have had assistance from ADG Raffy and now have 7 people registered, which includes only 3 from our club. If you plan on attending then please register no later than this Wednesday April 18th. There was a question at a recent meeting as to why it was so expensive for a lunch and if it is a fundraiser? I have been advised by one of the organizers that it is not a fundraiser, but is just to cover the costs of hosting the evnt.  

The Scarborough Business Association are hosting "Lunch with Mayor John Tory". As you know the Rotary Clubs are involved in this Association. In order to promote our Rotary Clubs further we would like to have members attend this luncheon. If we have enough members and guests attend we can get a table for 10 people which would cost $650 + HST = $734.50 - so $73.45 p/p.

We will be cancelling our lunch at the Baton Rouge on Friday (27th) that week in order to encourage members to attend the Mayors Luncheon.
