Local Projects
The Markham Sunrise Rotary club members have been dedicated to local projects in support of our Markham community since 1997.
A strong focus of the club continues around youth-based initiatives. Some of the more recent projects and causes where we have made a difference include:
- Regular fundraising for Markham Stouffville Hospital's Dr. Bear program
- Annual Markham-Unionville Santa Claus Parade
- Fundraising for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of York Region
- Regular fundraising with 360 Kids
- Regular fundraising and aid with reconstruction of the York Region Yellow Brick House
- Joint venture with the Canadians-Care initiative to provide hospital and long-term frontline workers with free meals during COVID-19 crisis
