Mbeko Eco Club organises events in partnership with other entities like Paarl Rotary to ensure learners are regularly exposed to experts in nature conservation through visits to nature areas, and interaction with professional conservationists.
Recent encounters included sessions with hands-on exploration of the endemic fynbos on Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve, awareness of invasive species and removal of alien vegetation in the reserve.
Learners from Ebenezer enjoyed an outing to the municipal water purification works sponsored by Paarl Rotary on Mbeko Eco's WET Wednesday.
