MENTAL HEALTH. Anel Pienaar (right), founder of the SA Mental Health & Psychiatric Association, recently addressed Paarl Rotary Club on the needs of the Kerith Retreat in Muldersvlei. Youngsters of the Path onto Prosperity youth centre presented a Christmas play at the end of the year. Paarl Rotary is upgrading the centre through a global grant.
 

FESTIVE. Every week the Paarl Valley Friends, a group of young disabled people, meet at the home of Tommy Goliath (rear centre) in Paarl to socialize. He also repairs their wheelchairs without charge. Here is the group at Tommy’s home during their Christmas luncheon, which was sponsored by Paarl Rotary.

Paarl Youth Initiative director Heini Heyns and guest speaker Danelene Ruiters presented certificates of achievement to learners, many of whom are members of Paarl Rotary's Good Company Interact Club. The Good Company Interact President, Clinichia Brown, received the John Martin Award for most outstanding student.
