PHOTO FINISH. The Winelands Cycle Race over 98 km was held in pouring rain in Wellington on 5 September.
A total of 504 of the 911 cyclists who  had entered decided to brave the weather, determined to cycle in their first road race since the start of the pandemic. The race ended in a tie, with Alex Heward and Gert Heyns crossing the finish line together after 2 hours, 28 minutes and 42 seconds.
