GREEN. In response to Rotary International’s appeal to plant a tree per member per year, Paarl Rotary sponsored the planting of 40 large coral trees on the central traffic island during the reconstruction of a main thoroughfare in Paarl, the Berg River Boulevard. As a result, Paarl Rotary received a greening award from the Drakenstein Heritage Foundation. Here club president Eugene Reynders (right) receives the award from Rolf Annas, chairperson of the DHF, during the awards ceremony.
