FUN DAY. Youth activities organized by Paarl Rotary are back in action after the end of the Covid lockdown. A fun day for members of 6 Interact clubs at local high schools was recently presented. Here some of the Interactors practise their kickboxing skills. Interact clubs are youth satellite clubs of Rotary where learners focus on service to the community. Members of the local clubs had the opportunity to meet and compare notes during the day’s events.

She will travel to Budapest in December for a 6-week exchange visit to a Hungarian host family, whose daughter in turn will visit Paarl in June next year. With her are (second left) Rotary president Deon Erasmus and (from left) Elsje-Mari Louw (La Rochelle High) and Luke Joseph (Labori High) who attended Rotary’s Adventure into Citizenship programme in Cape Town during the June holiday. The week-long programme included visits to the High Court, Provincial Parliament, District Six Museum and Kirstenbosch.
