Andrea Prazmowski, a certified Forest Therapy guide, presented information about the healing effect that immersion in forests and other natural environments can have on people. She stated that research studies have shown that beneficial physiological effects of walking in the forest may include a decease in blood pressure and stress hormones as well as an improved heart rate variability, immune system and sense of well being.
