On this Remembrance Day, Matt Muzzi spoke to Rotarians about The Wounded Warriors Organization. He was introduced and thanked by Rotarian Jas Michalski.

Matt was a Medic in the Armed Forces but left because he knew he would not qualify for deployment due to injuries suffered from playing sports.  In 2013 he read about the Battlefield Bike Ride and in 2014 he participated in the ride.  It started at Juno Beach and ended at Vimy Ridge.  This endeavour raises money for Armed Forces personnel who suffer from PTSD and homeless veterans.  He showed wonderful slides of monuments, battle fields, trenches and important sights and gave a little history of each.

Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that supports Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, and their families.

Through a wide range of national programs and services, Wounded Warriors provides a spectrum of care that is focused on mental health and, particularly, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
