1.2 million Rotarians in 200 countries around the world volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world.
President-Elect Dan Maloney is asking all Rotarians in 2019-2020 to strengthen the many ways that Rotary Connects the World, building the connections that allow talented, thoughtful, and generous people to unite and take meaningful action through Rotary service.
The Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville has many service projects throughout the year where they make connections. Here are a few examples:
  • Providing dictionaries and sharing love for reading with students in two local elementary school classrooms.
  • Working together with individuals at the Stittsville Food Bank to organize food donations.
  • Participating in the City of Ottawa’s Clean Up the Capital campaign along Hazeldean Road.
  • Providing bursaries to graduating students in local high schools.
  • Assisting an indigenous community with an incentive program for students.
  • Coordinating the donation of medical equipment and supplies for helping communities in Africa better cope with their needs, as seen in the photo above.
Rotarians are People of Action who see what is possible and work together making a difference for their community and the world.
