Jane Goodall: “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

Rotary has designated April as Environmental Month as a reminder of our responsibility to protect and preserve the planet for future generations. Rotary’s commitment to Supporting the Environment, our newest area of focus, can be seen in meaningful action to combat climate change, reduce waste, and promote sustainability in our communities. As People of Action, we have the power to drive change - not just for today, but for generations to come.
Stittsville Rotary Club has hands-on community service projects through the year which focus on the environment, e.g. Clean Up the Capital in the spring and fall and pollinator gardens at WJ Bell Rotary Peace Park. The club also supports Friends of Stittsville Wetlands and Ottawa Riverkeeper. Check www.stittsvillerotary.com for more information.
How can you help? Small actions, when multiplied by many, create a significant impact and working together can create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable world, e.g. plant a tree, recycle or reduce food waste.
