A commemorative brick was laid in the labyrinth at WJ Bell Rotary Peace Park.
Stittsville Rotarians and the family of John Curry gathered on Sunday, September 25, 2022 to honor John in a special way. Family members assisted Rotarian Dave with the installation of a commemorative brick in the labyrinth at WJ Bell Rotary Peace Park at 1751 Main Street South, Stittsville (see photo above).
John Curry was an Honorary Member of the Stittsville Rotary Club and in July 2021, his outstanding commitment to serve others in the community was recognized by the club when he was awarded the Paul Harris Award, the highest honor that a Rotarian can receive. Sadly, John passed away in February 2022, but he will be remembered by his family and friends as a remarkable man who believed strongly in the importance of community and who continued to show that conviction in many different ways.
