100 Kids Ottawa - Kids who Care: Changing the World. Together.
In a presentation to Stittsville Rotarians on Oct 23rd, Catherine Brosha and Grace, representing 100 Kids Ottawa, outlined the objectives of this organization of community-oriented students 6 to 16 years from all across Ottawa. Their common drive is to make the world a better place.
The group of approximately 35-45 students meets four times a year to hear 2 to 3 minute student presentations about charitable organizations. They vote to determine which charities will receive a donation from the fund that was created by the $10 donation made by each of the students. Students make new friends, practice speaking skills and work together in a democratic way to make a big impact in the lives of others.
