2021 marks the 28th year of the Cleaning the Capital Program and it is still going strong!
The City of Ottawa's 2021 Cleaning the Capital Program campaign is a city-wide event that brings together communities, neighbors and friends to help keep Ottawa clean and green. With careful attention to following Covid-19 restrictions for 6’ spacing between people, on June 9th, 2021, Stittsville Rotarians went to work in pairs on designated routes to collect garbage in the WJ Bell Rotary Peace Park and along the streets nearby.
The club’s participation in this annual cleanup campaign fits right in with Rotary’s new focus on the environment in clubs all around the world. Creating a distinct area of focus to support the environment will give Rotary members even more ways to bring about positive change in the world and increase our impact.
