Newly-appointed District Governor Lambert intends to visit all 75 Rotary clubs in District 7040 in this year to share practical suggestions for strengthening and energizing clubs.
While he has been a Rotarian for 23 years and currently is a member of the Canton/Potsdam club in New York State, Gerry Lambert’s appointment as Governor of District 7040 has offered him a broader scope and opportunity to help clubs throughout the district. To meet his personal goal of visiting all 75 clubs, Governor Lambert will be traveling throughout the large area of eastern Ontario, Nunavut, Western Quebec and northern New York State. With each visit to a club, he learns what makes that club great and offers assistance for dealing with their challenges. With a background in the military, teaching and small business as well as expertise in communications and computers, Governor Lambert is in a unique position to provide resources and connect Rotary clubs so they can work together to solve problems or participate in a joint service project or fundraiser.
The Rotary theme in 2019-2020 is Rotary Connects the World and the Governor shared with Stittsville Rotarians at a club meeting on Wed Oct 9th several examples of actions that clubs in the district are taking to improve lives on a daily basis in countries around the world.
