Scout Jamboree Catering

A call from Ballarat West’s Alan Barham alerted us to the opportunity to provide lunches for the Victorian Contingent heading to the Australian Jamboree in Maryborough, Queensland, so Jill swept into action to organise a way for us to capitalise on this.

Jill and Alan quickly assembled a team of other Alfredton and Ballarat West members to create the lunches for special dietary needs and assisted the fantastic staff at Bake & Grind to make the majority of more than 2,700 rolls on the 4th of January while the rest of us were off holidaying at various destinations.

This process was repeated on the 15th of January to provide lunches as the Scouts headed home from the Jamboree.

Thanks so much to Scouts Victoria for this great opportunity to assist them and also make some funds for both our clubs’ projects. Thanks also to Alan Barham for contacting us and to bake & Grind for taking on the challenge for us.

Well done to Jill, whose creative brain was once again able to find a way to get a project done efficiently and effectively.
